Moving to Austin

Well, all of the work and planning from the last few weeks seems to be paying off, and tomorrow I start my two day journey to Austin Texas by way of Amtrak. If you’ve been wondering why the blog has been a little quite lately, that’s pretty much the reason. Luckily, everything seems to be panning out pretty well. I have a place to hang my hat (well, if I had a hat) for a few days until I get a lease signed for an apartment (thanks Ryan!) and even a very nice sounding interview and a couple more leads on top of that.

Austin should be a pretty nice place to live. There are jobs and industries that I am interested in. It is the “Live Music Capital of the World” and I certainly have a particular love for music. It also seems to be a fairly pleasant place over all.

I’ll pop another post up after I arrive. I’ll write up some stuff while I’m on the train – similar to what I did with Japan when I was heading out there – and post it up here.
